Secretary’s Election Night Report November 2014

Secretary’s Election Report By Bo Cunningham

Election Night was held after the Turkey Shoot. We had over 50 participants and I believe we gave out 52 Turkeys. Ray Cox, George Perot and Bo Cunningham were re-elected to serve another 2 year term. Chris Kelly was elected to his first term. Welcome aboard Chris. We are excited for you.  A Big Thank You to Bob Arthur for running for a position. Bob was in the hospital, but showed up for dinner. He looked like he was doing well. Also a Big Thank You to Brian Bernier and Gene Butler for you contributions to the board. Gene had a medical retirement and Brian had work conflicts. In the Presidential race,  George Perot and Ray Cox were deadlocked in a 27-27 tie. Ray, in his humble way, requested the George Perot be the President for 2015. Welcome George. 2015 is going to be a big year for the Men’s Club. We are looking forward to your Leadership and Vision. Lastly over 60 members and guests celebrated Cottonwood’s Favorite Son, John “Hollywood” Campions 80th Birthday. John had a little trouble blowing out the one candle, but he managed finally to exhaust the flame. Happy 80th Birthday Mr. Campion. We look forward to seeing you shoot your age in the very near future. Just think, you don’t have to break 80 any more just stay 8 over and you will be fine. Now about that beach towel story during your roast, that is an HK to all of us who know you. Thanks to the membership for the strong turn out and thanks to the Cottonwood staff for the excellent service. We appreciate all of you. Have a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend. PS go to the Photo section on our website for the party
