December Masters Results

Another year is in the books. The December Masters at Cottonwood concluded the 2015 year. Who will the 2015 Master Cup Champion? Results will be posted later this week. It was a beautiful crisp winter morning with temperatures hovering around 45 degrees at the 8am shotgun start. 71 golfers participated. Here are the results of the event which is the 3rd for the 2016 Cup Standings. Flight #1 was won by Jim Goggins who fired a net 68. Sam Saenz edge John Damron out in a card off for 2nd place. Both players shot net 68. Finishing 4th was David Cammall who shot net 71. Flight #2 was no contest. Ray Cox won going away with a fine net 65. Finishing 2nd was John Crisp with a net 68. Brian Schow captured 3rd with a net 71 and Randy Washburn grabbed 4th with a net 75. Flight #3 saw Paul Naschant shoot a net 68 and win 1st place over the “Rooster Man” Ray Surprenant who recorded a net 69. 3rd place went to Tom Withers who fired a net 71. Dale Alexander grabbed 4th winning a card off over Bo Cunningham. Both players shot net 72. Close to the pins were as follows: #4 Ivanhoe, Pete Lavallee 49”, #9 Ivanhoe, Kelly Moore 28”, #12 Ivanhoe, Michael Allard 13’4” and #18 Ivanhoe, Rob Rice 2’5”. The Skin Game had 2 winners in gross and only 3 in net. The payoffs were quite large. Gross Skins; Mike LaBruno and Dave Williamson received $135.00 each. Net Skins winners were: Pat Magner, Gary Case and Lou Havlat. Each player received $110.00. So this year is a wrap. The Board of Governors would like to Thank all of the participants who showed up and competed through out the year. We averaged over 70 players for all 12 events. That’s what it takes to keep the free breakfast buffet. So Thanks Again Membership. You are the ones who make it happen!!!!!!!! Who will be the 2015 Master Cup Champion? Going into Saturday 7 to 8 players had a chance. Some moved forward, some moved back. WHO WILL THAT ONE PLAYER BE? Stay tuned for the big announcement this coming week.
